Corpses floating down the river Drifting, carried by the current As they float along they touch and bump Most stuck together in groups or pairs One corpse, in the quicker current Drifting faster toward its final rest It makes the journey on its own Only gently touching the slower corpses As they touch their spirits entwine Only to be ripped apart by the current A current that make it drift past all to fast It moves on alone towards the place where all currents fade A sea beyond the rivers cruel current Maybe there the corpse will find the peace, maybe even unity, that is all it craves and need

The world shades darker now I struggle to find the will, To walk this empty road again No one at my side I saw a light never seen before, I had your love I felt a warmth of unity, Acceptance of our tales I feared the world no more, As I knew you had my heart I found my kindred soul The one who made whole Now left with hollow heart I still believe in you I now feel ripped apart, Adrift on this trail of mine What falls upon my path, Is only the tears of my heart Yet I walk this barren world I carry on the fight In me still burning hope, Of holding you once more
